MidEuropa Announces 2014 Promotions

MidEuropa, the leading private equity firm focused on buyouts in Central and Eastern Europe and Turkey, announced today its 2014 promotions. Andrej Babache has been promoted to Director, Lukasz Gawlik to Associate Director, Murat Buyumez, Artur Sienczewski and Tas Tobias all advancing to Senior Associates and Zofia Szewczuk to Investor Relations Manager.

Andrej Babache joined MidEuropa in 2006 and is based in London. Andrej has worked on a number of different deals, and most recently the sale of SBB/Telemach. Andrej graduated with a Masters with joint honours in Economics and Business from the University of Edinburgh.

Lukasz Gawlik joined MidEuropa in 2011 and is based in London. Lukasz has been focused on MidEuropa’s investments in Norican and Zabka. Lukasz holds an M.A. in Finance and Banking from the Warsaw School of Economics.

Artur Sienczewski joined MidEuropa in 2011 and is based in Warsaw. Artur has worked on a number of healthcare deals, including the acquisition of Alpha Medical, Euromedic Labs, Diagnostics Platform and the sale of LuxMed. Artur has a B.Sc. in Management and Economics from Paris Dauphine University and holds a M.Sc. in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics.

Murat Buyumez joined MidEuropa in 2011 and is based in Istanbul. Murat has been focused on monitoring MidEuropa’s investment in Kent Hospital. Murat received his B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University in Turkey and holds a B.A in Industrial Management from the Tampere University of Technology in Finland.

Tas Tobias joined MidEuropa in 2012 and is based in Budapest. Tas has been focused on monitoring MidEuropa’s investment in Invitel. Tas received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.

Zofia Szewczuk joined MidEuropa in 2011 and is based in London. Zofia has been an Investment Professional for the past 2 years and will now focus on Investor Relations.  As the firm continues to grow, Zofia will work with the Partners of MidEuropa to manage and enhance its investor relations programme. Zofia graduated with a Masters in Corporate Finance and Accountancy from Poznan University of Economics in Poland and holds a Masters in International Management from ESCP Europe.
