Mid Europa Partners is the successor entity to EMP Europe Ltd, which was formed in 1999 by EMP Global.

Since 1999 members of the Mid Europa Partners team have led the investment origination and execution, on-going monitoring and exits for the Fund I portfolio.

In early 2005, the EMP Europe team formed Mid Europa Partners and acquired 100% of EMP Europe Ltd from EMP Global.

Since then Mid Europa Partners has managed and advised the Emerging Europe Convergence Fund II LP, Mid Europa Fund III LP, and related co-investment partnerships.
