In July 2009, Mid Europa led the acquisition of 100% of UPC Slovenia, the leading cable TV business in Slovenia, with national coverage and a triple-play offering which serves approximately 40% of the pay TV households in the country, and offers analogue and digital video, broadband Internet and digital voice services. Post-acquisition, the Company was rebranded as Telemach.

In July 2010, Telemach expanded its presence to Bosnia and Herzegovina through the acquisition of three cable operators, adding a new market for the roll out of the Company’s Pay TV services.

Mid Europa’s history with Telemach and its management initiated through an investment made by Fund I, alongside local partners. Fund I’s investment was sold in 2004 to UnitedGlobalCom (UGC)/Liberty Global, who have since further grown the business through a market consolidation strategy and extension of service offering.
