In April 2000, Mid Europa acquired Telemach, the leading Slovenian cable TV and broadband operator with over 100,000 cable TV and 13,000 cable internet subscribers. The company was subsequently merged with EON, an internet company and original shareholder in Telemach. Since its foundation in 1999, Telemach has expanded rapidly through organic growth and add-on acquisitions.
In December 2004, Fund I sold its investment in Telemach to UnitedGlobalCom (UGC).
