In October 2007 Mid Europa acquired a 65% stake in Orange Austria (previously known as One GmbH), the number three provider of mobile telecommunication services in Austria, with approximately 2.1 million subscribers. Mid Europa is the controlling stakeholder, alongside France Telecom who owns 35%.

Orange Austria has established itself as a successful player in a rapidly evolving market, becoming a leader in innovation and brand perception, in particular in urban areas. Its high-quality network provides an excellent base for further development of services. Mid Europa and France Telecom are determined to provide strong shareholding support to enhance the market position and performance of the company in coming years.
