Bill Morrow to retire as COO

Mid Europa Partners announced today that, Bill Morrow, Managing Director & COO of Mid Europa will retire in July. His successor, Jacques du Preez has joined Mid Europa and will take over responsibility as COO in July.
Bill Morrow has been with Mid Europa and its predecessor for over ten years, the last four of which he has served as COO with responsibility for the investment process, investor relations and reporting, and risk management. Prior to assuming COO duties Bill was a senior investment professional with the firm following twenty years in banking and development finance.
Jacques du Preez joins Mid Europa from Pond Venture Partners where he was COO. In addition to Bill Morrow’s current role, Jacques will take responsibility for all administrative, budget, financial and accounting activities at Mid Europa. Prior to Pond Ventures Jacques owned a business services firm providing outsourced back office services, IT support, accounting, tax and financial support to a number of multinational firms. Before forming his firm Jacques spent a dozen years in accounting, and financial consulting with Deloitte & Touche and Accenture.
