Mid Europa Partners completes acquisition of 100% of Invitel Holdings A/S

Mid Europa Partners (“Mid Europa”) today announced the closing of its compulsory redemption procedure as a result of which it now owns 100% of the share capital of Invitel Holdings A/S (“Invitel”).
Following the completion of Mid Europa’s tender offer in February 2010 in which it acquired (through its acquisition vehicle Hungarian Telecom (Netherlands) Coöperateif U.A.) approximately 91.8% of Invitel’s share capital, and a subsequent voluntary redemption period which expired on 22 March 2010, MEP commenced compulsory redemption (“squeeze out”) proceedings under Danish law on 3 April 2010 in respect of the remaining 1,375,351 shares representing 8.22% of Invitel’s share capital at USD 4.50 per share, the same per cash price offered and paid in the tender offer and during the voluntary redemption period.
Effective on the expiration of the three month redemption period on 5 July 2010, all remaining Invitel shares have been automatically redeemed and transferred to Mid Europa and Invitel's share register has been duly updated to reflect Mid Europa as Invitel’s sole shareholder.
